About
This is a Learn To Skate program designed for boys and girls ages 3-10 with little or no skating experience. Basic skating skills are taught in a fun, activity filled, atmosphere based on USFSA Snowplow Sam, hockey skills and basic skills 1-8. Our focus is to build confidence, learn fundamentals, become comfortable on the ice and have fun. Each 50 minute session includes instruction in a group setting and practice time.

Advanced registration by mail or in person is required to guarantee placement Registrations are taken on a first come basis. Registration will not be confirmed, however you will be notified if you are placed on our waiting list.

-Any skater wearing hockey skates must have a hockey helmet with a cage.
-Knee Pads, Roller Blade or Volleyball pads worn underneath a skaters pants.
-Any skater wearing skates with a toe pick must have a bicycle helmet.
-Mittens or Gloves.
-Fleece, wind pants, comfortable warm clothing

Our Learn to Skate Programs are registered under the USFSA Come Skate With Us Basic Skills Program. Each program is designed to teach the fundamentals and basic skills of skating at that level.
Future Stars
About
The program will focus on teaching strong skating skills, strong hockey fundamentals and increasing the confidence level of every skater.
Skaters have the choice of skating once or twice a week. Future Stars will meet on Saturday and/or Wednesdays.

Full Gear Required: players will be required to wear a H.E.C.C. Helmet and facemask, neck guard, hockey skates, shoulder pads, elbow pads, hockey pants, hockey socks, mouthgaurd (optional),hockey gloves, and shin/knee pads. Equipment can be purchased at the Lakeshore Hockey Arena Pro Shop, beginner hockey packages are available.****we will provide a future starts jersey.

Figure Skating
PRE-FIGURE
This program is designed to introduce children ages 5 and older to the sport of figure skating! USFSA Snowplow Sam and basic skills are taught. Our focus is to build confidence, learn fundamentals, become comfortable on the ice and have fun. Each 50 minute session includes a 5 minute warn-up, 25 minute group lesson, and 20 minutes of practice time.
FIGURE
This program is designed to teach the basic techniques of figure skating including skills, jumps, spins and moves in the field. Each 50 minute session includes a 5 minute stroking warm-up, 25 minute group lesson, and 20 minutes of practice time. Figure skaters will have the ability to earn badges through optional testing.
